Sudden it just does not like it. Since I posted the original message Avast again told me that this new version of MailWasher is a Trojan and I can't use it!MailWasher will retrieve the messages from the server but won't open Outlook Express. The only way I can get email now is to just use Outlook Express, and that just disappoints me terribly! I've been using MailWasher for years now and not having it just makes me ! rusticdog PostRe: MailWasher 6.5.2 Thu Dec 03, 2009 6:52 pm You may wish to check out you switch that off, so that it doesn't interfere with MailWasher any more, see how things go.It alsmot sounds like MailWasher is working though, it's checking your email, and you are deleting the bad emails all OK. MailWasher got the test messages from the server. I checked some of the test messages I did not want, to simulate spam and pressed "Process Mail." It opened Outlook Express but did not transfer the email to OE like my old MailWasher did. I have to click send and receive in OE and the email comes through. If so, try opening that, go into Virus and Threat Protection >> at the bottom click Ransomware Protection >> turn Controlled Folder Access off >> install MW. I downloaded the new MailWasher 6.5.2 and I can't get it to send email to my Outlook Express. It will get the email from the main client(?) and just holds it.I checked the help files and made sure what was supposed to be unchecked was unchecked but it still won't transfer the messages to Outlook Express so I can read them.
