For more information on server setup and provisioning, or to configure ESET Secure Authentication for use with a VPN, see the ESET Secure Authentication Installation Manual.If after configuring the ESET Secure Authentication core service you are still experiencing issues, visit our ESET Secure Authentication (ESA) Setup Checklist.Android users Windows phone usersInstall the ESET Secure Authentication mobile appIf you are prompted to enroll in the ESET Secure Authentication (ESA) mobile app, click Set up to start the enrollment process.Figure 1-1Scan the QR code, click Continue → Finish and proceed to step 3. Figure 1-2Tap Add Account. If you have already installed the application, proceed to step 6.Figure 1-3Tap the Download icon → Open.Figure 1-4Review the license agreement and tap I accept. Figure 1-5We recommend that you set a PIN to protect ESA from unauthorized access. To set your PIN, tap Yes. Figure 1-6Enter your PIN number into the New PIN and Confirm PIN fields and tap OK. After setup, if you need to change your PIN number, tap the application menu and select Change PIN. Once your PIN is configured, ESET Secure Authentication is ready to use.Figure 1-7Tap Allow. You will receive a push notification authentication request. Enter the PIN you configured and tap OK.Figure 1-8I see ESA Demo token instead of mineIf you see ESA Demo token instead of yours, tap the link you received in the SMS again. Use ESET Secure Authentication to login to Outlook Web AccessOn your computer, access Outlook Web Access (OWA) as directed by your administrator. Enter your Microsoft Exchange username and password into the Outlook login screen and click sign in. Figure 2-1When you are prompted to, either enter a one-time password (OTP) or approve a push authentication using the ESET Secure Authentication mobile app.On your mobile device, tap the ESET Authentication icon to open the ESA application.Figure 2-2Depending on your administrative settings:Push Select the topic The agent synchronizes all users in the current domain with the ESET Secure Authentication that it is installed to.Default synchronization interval is 1 hourMore than one agent can be installed within a domain (to secure connection/actualization with ESET Secure Authentication)Synchronization is done in bulks. Domain authentication uses the user's identity who is currently logged on the machine.Activate your installation of ESET Secure Authentication On-Prem.The Web Console provides a quick overview of:•Users: Total number of users, number of users with activated 2FA, number of users with incomplete setup of 2FA, number of users locked out. If the number of 2FA enabled, Setup Incomplete, or Locked Out is higher than 0, click the number to list the related users.•Servers: Status (online/offline) and version of the Authentication Server (AS) installed. If there are several sites in your Active Directory domain an AS installed in each site, the Servers section will list each AS.•Components: A list and number of ESA components in use, number of outdated ESA components. Click the number in the Out of date column to display the related computers/services.•License: User numbers, remaining SMS credits, remaining license days.To configure 2FA for a supported Web Application, refer to the Web Application Protection section. For configuring 2FA on your VPN, refer to the VPN Protection section. To configure 2FA for Remote Desktop, refer to the Remote Desktop Protection section.
